Zoey is first seen in her college class, she is learning about quantum science. When she gets back to her dorm, a strange package is at her doorstep. It is a strange black puzzle box that is difficult to open. Inside is an invitation to the "Minos" escape room with a potential price of $10,000. When she arrives at the escape room she meets the other players (Danny, Amanda, Mike, Jason, and Ben). Together, they beat the first room, which is named "The Oven Room". After beating the first room, they realize that this isn't a fun game, it's a deadly game and they have to stick together to survive. After beating more rooms, they finally meet with the "Gamemaster". The Gamemaster tells Ben that he put them in this deadly situation because he wanted his clients (the Illuminati) to watch them die, for entertainment purposes. He also tells him that his team always looks for new players for his deadly games. Turns out that the Gamemaster chose them for this year's contestants, which are soul survivors of tragic accidents. They wanted to know if luck had to do with it. A little later, the Gamemaster tries to strangle Ben with a horse whip. Zoey comes out of nowhere and shoots the Gamemaster. Later, Ben and Zoey fight against him but eventually, the Gamemaster dies. Both Zoey and Ben get away and survive. We catch up with Ben and Zoey, 6 months later, and Zoey has done a little investigating and tells Ben that she wants revenge on the people who did this to them.
