Zara Young was a PA to Claire Dearing assigned to care for Claire's nephews Zach and Grey. Zara was engaged to a man named Alec, who she refused to allow to have a bachelor party because she thought his friends behaved like animals. After losing Zach and Grey at the Gentle Giants petting zoo Zara contacted security who eventually spotted the boys on cameras approaching the west gate. She met up with them and led them back to main street at the same time as the Pteranodons attacked.
Death[]
Zara is killed during the attack on Jurassic World's main street when she is lifted up by Pteranodons and dropped into the Jurassic World Lagoon. She is repeatedly attacked before the Mosasaurus leaps out to bite a Pteranodon, devouring Zara in one bite.
James gave this death the "Golden Chainsaw Award" because of how elaborate it was and the fact that Katie McGrath did her own stunts for the scene.

Zara was the first female human to be killed in the Jurassic franchise. Before Zara's death the only females to die were dinosaurs.
However, since James chose to count the debatable death of Meyers, she is actually the second female human to die in the franchise.
Zara is portrayed by Katie McGrath who also played Sarah Bennett in the TV series Slasher
Zara was the first human to be eaten by the Mosasaurus.
James mistakenly refers to her character as being Irish, Zara is British and speaks with a posh English accent in the film. Her actress McGrath is actually from the Republic of Ireland.
