Victor's Death
Victor suffered a fatal head injury after being struck by an automobile. He addresses his dying words personally to Louis Creed by his first name, even though they have never met. On the night following Pascow's death, Louis is visited by the student's ghost, which leads him to the cemetery and refers specifically to the "deadfall", a dangerous pile of tree and bush limbs that form a barrier at the back. Pascow warns Louis not to "go beyond, no matter how much you feel you need to." Louis wakes up in bed the next morning convinced it was a dream, but discovers his feet and the bedsheets covered with dirt and pine needles. Louis dismisses the episode as a result of stress caused by Pascow's death coupled with his wife's anxieties about death. He accepts the situation as a bout of sleepwalking.
However, when Louis's son Gage is killed by a truck, Louis decides to bury him at the cemetery to bring him back to life. Victor visits Louis's daughter, Ellie, whom she refers him as Paxcow. When Rachel is told by Ellie about "Paxcow" again, she tries to remember the name until Victor says his last name to Rachel, where she immediately remembers and goes to call Louis, but she is unable to. She is able to call Jud and tell him to keep an eye on Louis.
Later when Rachel is about to miss her flight from Chicago back to Maine, Victor delays the closing and Rachel is able to help her out, even sitting next to her in the flight. When Rachel is off the flight, Victor helps her rent a car so she can confront Louis.
After Rachel gets a flat tire from her rental car, and Victor explains to her that the Sematary's powers are trying to stop her from confronting Louis. After Rachel gets off the truck that the driver helped her, Victor appears and tells her that he's not allowed to go any further. He stays in the truck and disappears.
Much later after Jud, Rachel, Church, and Gage are killed, Louis takes his wife's corpse to the Pet Sematary, despite Victor warning him that he’ll only make things worse, but Louis, by that time, has gone mad, and ignores him, leaving Victor to yell out in despair.
Trivia[]
- Victor's makeup effects were done by two people, Lance Anderson, who did effects for The Thing and Lance's son, David, who designed the monsters in The Cabin in the Woods, Twisty The Clown from American Horror Story and The Red Devil for Scream Queens, and married Heather Langenkamp, aka Nancy Thompson, which also explains why Gage's actor, Miko Hughes also played Dylan Porter, Heather's fictional son in Wes Craven's New Nightmare.
