Too Many Cooks (2014) KILL COUNT is the four hundred and third video of The Kill Count.
Overview[]
The short begins as a parody of opening credits sequences of 1970s, 80s, and 90s American sitcoms, listing the actors in the fictional series "Too Many Cooks".
The credits introduce dozens of actors as the genre of the show gradually segues from sitcom into crime drama, prime time soap opera, Saturday morning cartoon, superhero live-action series, slasher film, and science fiction.
Particular focus is put on a slasher film villain, who is hidden in the background of several early shots but eventually starts killing the other characters with a machete.
The opening credits sequence ends after about ten minutes and transitions into the "episode", with all the characters from the opening standing in the one house; the short ends roughly ten seconds later, cutting to closing credits before a full line of dialogue can be spoken.

- This is the first Adult Swim project on the Kill Count.
- This kill count was originally be released on November 17th, 2023 but was replaced by Terrifier 2 as a result of the SAG strike ending.
- This was also originally a part of The Weird Era.
- Katie Adkins is the twenty-fifth fictional character to be featured in a Numbers Gag.
- During the Numbers part, James made a mistake when he said “8 women and 8 men” but one of the numbers silhouettes have two female heads and one male head, making it “9 women and 7 men” instead.
- This is the fifth Kill Count to not be in the playlist. The other four being The Black Phone, The Tripper, Scream 4 (ReCount), and The Toxic Avenger.
