Sgt. Dale is an antagonist in The Hunt.
Biography[]
Dale was a sergeant of the National Guard. Owning Athena an unknown favor, he trained her and her 'elites' for about eight months and later acted as a counselor for their 'hunt.'
Dale was staying at the hunters' base along with Richard, Ted, Liberty, Peter and Martin.
Death[]
Sgt. Dale's Death
Dale and the remaining hunters try to kill Crystal, but Dale and Liberty get injured as Ted and Peter are killed. As Crystal kills Liberty and then Don, she interrogates Dale and tortures him briefly for Athena's location, while at the same time apologizing to him. Dale finally reveals Athena's location, though he advises Crystal just to leave. Crystal refuses, saying she has a growing anger inside of her (she describes it as a 'Hmmmm!') and there is no place where she can put that anger. In her showdown with Athena, perhaps she can finally release it.
After thanking Dale genuinely for his service in the Guard, she puts him out of his suffering with a bullet in the head.
