Dr. Samuel Loomis is a character from the Halloween franchise and is a supporting character in the original timeline. Throughout his appearances, he is mostly trying to recapture Michael Myers, his mental patient, following his escape while also protecting Jamie Lloyd and her baby.
Loomis has had survived several deaths in the series (excluding Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers) including:
- Sacrificing himself in an explosion (Halloween II - Returned in Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers)
- Suffering a massive stroke while beating Michael with a plank (Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers - Returned in Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers)
- Presumably killed off-screen by Michael (Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers)
- Heart attack (Halloween H20: 20 Years Later)
Trivia[]
- Loomis's scream heard at the end of the theatrical release of The Curse of Michael Myers is actually taken from the ending of the Producer's Cut where Loomis survives and takes on the Mark of Thorn when Dr. Wynn places it on him before watching him scream in horror. However, due to the death of Donald Pleasance, the ending was scrapped.
- Samuel Loomis shares his name with Sam Loomis, a character from Psycho. Billy Loomis, the main antagonist of Scream, was also named in reference to these characters.
