Moses, also known as Staten Island, is a false protagonist in The Hunt.
Biography[]
Moses is among the eleven captives awakening with gag and their hands tied together in a forest, for the hunt. In a clearing, they find a cache of weapons and keys to their gags. After several people get their weapons, he, along with everyone else, get attacked by hunters who kill six captives. Moses finds the half upper body of Dead Sexy (who is still alive from the landmine that "Big Game Shane" stepped on and got killed by. He tries to save her and doesn't want to put her out of her misery so Dead Sexy grabs his gun, calls him Snowflake, and shoots herself in the head. Moses finds "Big Red", "Vanilla Nice" and "Target" and points his gun at them until they get attacked by more hunters. They run away from the gunfire. They make it to a barbed-wire fence, where he, Big Red and Vanilla manage to escape unlike Target who gets shot with a few arrows and blown up with two grenades.
They make their way to a service station where they meet the station's owners, an elderly couple consisting of Miranda "Ma" and Julius "Pa", identify their location as a point on Route 31 near Elaine, Arkansas. The three escapees, each kidnapped from a different part of the United States, realize their situation's similarity to the "Manorgate" conspiracy theory where wealthy elites hunt deplorables.

Staten Island's Death
When Miranda and Julius talk to Staten, Molly dies from being poisoned by the elderly couple. Staten tries to kill Ma and Pa, but the two spray some chemical gas and wear safety masks for protection against the gas. As Vanilla and Staten cough from the gas, Julius pulls out a rifle and shoots Staten in the chest, killing him.
