Leatherface Sawyer-Slaughter

Leatherface is the main antagonist of the The Texas Chain Saw Massacre franchise.

Throughout the series, Leatherface is well known for his mask made from human flesh and his iconic chainsaw. Unlike most slasher killers, Leatherface is not evilly malicious and is usually ordered around by his family members.

Similar to Jason Voorhees and Michael Myers, Leatherface is portrayed various actors throughout the series, Andrew Bryniarski being the only actor to play him more than once in the 2003 and 2006 remakes.

Another thing about Leatherface is that his appearance varies from film to film and his personality is drastically different in each film due to the complicated continuity of the series. Leatherface also doesn't talk at all in the series except for 2017's Leatherface.

One more thing is that Leatherface's family members also tend to change from film to film. The original to part 2 having Nubbins, Chop Top, Grandpa and Drayton Sawyer. Part 3 having Anne, Tex, Tinker, Alfredo and a supposed daughter (unclear). Part 4 has Vilmer, Darla and W.E. Slaughter. The 2000s era remakes have Charlie, Monty, Tea Lady, Henrietta andLuda Mae Hewitt. Finally, the 2013 and 2017 films having the original family members with some additional members.

The only time Leatherface actually dies is in part 2 when Drayton drops a grenade and kills himself, Leatherface, Grandpa and an attacking Lefty in the explosion.
