Krites are the main antagonists in the Critters Franchise.
Biography[]
The Krites are hordes of tiny aliens that resemble hedgehogs or porcupines. Their bulky bodies are shrouded in a cloud of black fur.
Critters[]
A small horde of deadly aliens known as Krites are about to be moved from an asteroid jail to another station. The warden hires two shape-shifting bounty hunters to chase the Krites to Earth when they build an escape and seize a ship. The first bounty hunter takes on the persona of rock singer Johnny Steele while he studies life on Earth through various satellite television feeds, while the second stays unsure and keeps his blank, featureless head.
On a rural Kansas farm, the Brown family sits down to breakfast. Father Jay and mother Helen send teenage daughter April and younger son Brad off to school while waiting on mechanic Charlie McFadden. A former baseball pitcher, Charlie has become the town drunk and crackpot, with claims of alien abductions foretold by messages through his fillings.
Brad takes responsibility for Charlie unintentionally shooting April as they are playing with too powerful homemade pyrotechnics and Charlie's slingshot. As a result, Brad is denied dinner for the rest of the day. That nightfall on the roof, Brad misinterprets the crash of the Critters' spaceship for a meteorite. Jay and Brad investigate and stop the monsters from eating a cow. The monsters then besiege the farm and shut off its power supply after killing and devouring a local police officer (later, a second bounty hunter assumes his shape and the two steal his police car). Jay gets attacked by one of the Critters while checking the circuit breaker, and despite being seriously hurt, he barely makes it out alive.
Steve, April's lover, is killed by one of the Critters as they are ready to have sex in the barn; the monster is also killed when it eats one of Brad's ignited firecrackers. The Browns and Steve are forced to take refuge inside the main home when the surviving Critters destroy their automobiles. The second hunter disguises himself as several residents, including Charlie, while the two bounty hunters explore the town for the Critters, sparking a panic at the church and bowling alley. When the bounty hunters stumble across Brad as he flees the farm in need of assistance and realizes their actual identities and motives, he directs them to the location of the Critters.
When the bounty hunters show up, the last few remaining Critters grab April and try to escape by returning to their spacecraft. Brad dumps the big firecracker he was going to use to blow up the ship when the Critters find out about Charlie and Brad's successful rescue of April. Charlie makes a Molotov cocktail out of his whiskey bottle and tosses it into the ship just as the Critters are about to lift off and destroy the farmhouse out of spite. This ignites a fire that explodes the cracker and kills the Critters. After providing Brad a portable device to use to contact them in the event of a further attack and to restore the residence, the bounty hunters depart in their spacecraft. Unbeknownst to them, a chicken's nest in the barn contains what appear to be ready-to-hatch Critter eggs.
Critters 2[]
The shape-shifting bounty hunters Ug and Lee and their human friend Charlie McFadden are searching for a violent, worm-like monster on a barren planet in outer space. They exterminate the beast and leave the world. Soon later, they are given a new task by Zanti, the High Council's leader. He informs them that there are still critters on Earth, and they must be exterminated. They then made their route towards Earth. Ug asks Charlie what's up after noticing him acting moody. Charlie expresses his unwillingness to return after two years and worries that they would abandon him there. Ug reassures him that they don't intend to do that.
Brad Brown, who is now 15 years old, is back on Earth visiting his grandmother in Grover's Bend when word quickly spreads around the community, suggesting that he became widely known following the events in the previous movie. The Easter Bunny guy is killed when the Critters assault him shortly after the bounty hunters show up. Nobody is aware that the Critters assaulted him since his death is thought to have been caused by a farming accident. The Critters eventually come to light when they start attacking the community in enormous numbers. Ug falls into a deep despair and transforms back into his alien form when Lee is killed and eaten by the Critters.
The town's remaining residents come up with a strategy. They try to blow the Critters up by leading them to a burger factory with Ug transformed into a Critter. When that fails, the Critters reappear, united into a huge ball, and move for the church. Charlie uses Ug's spaceship to fly right into them just before they get there, eliminating the Critters and appearing to give his life in the process. After that, Ug adopts Charlie's facial traits as a tribute to his bravery. Charlie used a parachute to live, it is discovered the following day as Brad is leaving. He remains on Earth and takes on the role of local sheriff. In a new spaceship, Ug takes off while pretending to be Charlie.
Critters 3[]
Charlie MacFadden is looking for the last Critter sometime after the events in Critters 2: The Main Course. When their car's tire blows, a family of three—Annie Sawyer, the main character, Johnny Sawyer, her younger brother, and Clifford Sawyer, the father—stops at a rest area. Charlie warns them about the Critters at the rest area along with Josh Briggs, the stepson of a dishonest landlord. A critter lays eggs underneath the family's car at this point, and the family unwittingly takes the eggs with them as they depart. The Critters hatch not long after they get to their tenement and assault the sleazy maintenance worker, Frank Longo. Josh locks the landlord in Clifford's room, mistakenly confining his stepfather with the animals, and when the landlord comes, he too is devoured by the Critters. Then, one of the locals is attacked and hurt. Josh joins Annie, her family, and five other people in their attempt to scale the building's roof in order to reach safety. The surviving occupants are saved when Charlie comes and exterminates the last of the Critters. A containment pod sent by the Intergalactic Council falls into the basement as Charlie is ready to kill two Critter eggs but is told not to. The movie finishes on a cliffhanger.
Critters 4[]
As the last movie left off, Charlie McFadden is prevented from killing two Krite eggs by a holographic message from Ug, who informs him that doing so would be against cosmic law because the eggs are the last two to exist. Charlie grudgingly complies with Ug's instructions and proceeds to put the eggs in a preservation pod that unexpectedly drops to the ground. However, as he does so, the hatch closes on him, sending Charlie hurtling into space and into deep freeze.
The crew of the salvage ship RSS Tesla discovers the pod in outer space and brings it onboard more than fifty years later, in 2045. The ship's crew consists of the dubious and lewd Captain Rick Buttram, his quirky engineer Al "Albert" Bert, Fran the pilot, and Bernie the cargo specialist. and Ethan, a student engineer. Following their discovery, Councilor Tetra of TerraCor contacts the ship and offers Buttram three times the going cost if he transports the pod to a nearby station. The crew agrees and decides to visit the station. However, when they arrive, they discover it to be deserted, with "Angela," the facility's malfunctioning central computer, as the sole indication of life. "Angela" only follows commands when given orders that are exactly the opposite of what she is supposed to do.
Later, when Ethan comes into Rick tinkering with the pod, Rick declares that he intends to steal whatever is inside for himself and abandon the others. Ethan protests, but Rick uses a fire extinguisher to put him out of his misery before he can open the pod. Before Rick is attacked and killed by the freshly born Krites, he runs into Charlie in it, who bolts out.
Charlie brings Ethan back to life when the Krites run away, and he finally rejoins the team. Bernie doesn't trust Charlie when he tries to explain who he is and warn the team about the Krites, so he leaves. Ethan then accesses a report written by Dr. McCormick using a computer keycard he had previously discovered. In this study, she admits that she has been researching numerous extraterrestrial creatures for use as a bioweapon. Her inventions, however, were unable to reproduce on their own, so she asked for help in locating an organism that could do it quickly. Albert firmly advises that they all leave the station right away after understanding what has been happening inside.
Later, at the station's pharmacy, the Krites attack and kill Bernie. Angela begins closing up areas of the station after announcing that the reactor is leaking radiation and would become critical in a matter of hours when the others discover his corpses. Later, the group learns that the Krites are reproducing when they come upon a clutch of recently deposited Krite eggs. In the meantime, the Krites travel to the Tesla and instruct it to travel to Earth, the nearest inhabited planet. While the others get the spacecraft ready for takeoff, one Krite goes to get the eggs. After the crew arrives, they run into the Krites, who Charlie kills by shooting, but not before accidentally destroying the flying controls.
While the crew works to fix the ship, Ethan sets out on his own to find the final Krite. He discovers it by utilizing tools from the research lab to quickly develop a number of baby Krites to adult size. Just as a Terracor ship arrives with Tetra, Ug, and other troops holding the remaining crew at gunpoint, Ethan dashes to alert the others. When Albert attempts to object, Tetra shoots and kills him. She then demands the Krite eggs. of response to Charlie's dismay about Ug's abrupt shift of alignment, Ug replies "things change" and tells his soldiers to head out in search of the eggs.
After surreptitiously seeing Albert's death, Ethan returns to the scientific lab and lures the soldiers into a trap by having Angela hide them behind sliding doors. The Krites then attack and kill the soldiers. Then, after removing three Krite eggs from the tube, Ethan purposefully smashes two of them in Tetra's presence. Tetra becomes enraged and threatens to kill Fran, but Ethan throws the last egg to divert her attention so that Fran may use Ethan's revovler to put Tetra out.
When a Krite confronts Ethan, forcing him to use a fuel pipe to freeze it, Charlie and Fran run onto Tetra's spacecraft to flee, but Ethan becomes sidetracked. Just seconds before the station explodes, wiping out the Krites as Charlie, Fran, and Ethan sail their ship towards Earth, Tetra unexpectedly emerges and attempts to keep him at gunpoint. However, Charlie saves him and shoots Tetra in the head.

The kids prepared for battle, as does Bianca. Bianca sliced all the critters and the kids bop their way to the krites. Scarface shoots Philip in the neck and Drea.
