Biography[]
Julia Cotton was Larry Cotton's 2nd wife. Before marrying Larry, Julia had secretly had an affair with Larry's brother Frank, which ended up straining their relationship. After Frank had gone missing for some time (him having been killed by the Cenobites after solving the Lament Configuration in his attic), Julia and Larry decided to move into Frank's house, in an effort to fix their relationship. It is here where Larry reunites with his daughter Kirsty, whom was born from Larry's first marriage, and had gotten her own home due to how she didn't get along with her step-mom Julia. Julia decides to stay and call the place home after seeing some nude photos of Frank.
While moving furniture into the house, Larry accidently cuts his hand on a nail and spills some blood onto the attic floor where Frank had died, causing Frank to ressurect himself while the Cottons leave to go to the hospital. Julia later discovers Frank, alive but without any flesh, much to her horror. Frank tells her who he is, and pleads with her to help him become whole again by providing him with more blood. Julia, being obsessed with Frank, agrees to help by luring men from local pubs back to her house and murdering them so Frank can use their blood to resurrect himself. After Julia brings Frank a few more victims, Frank tells her about the Lament Configuration and the Cenobites who left him the way that he is. While carrying out Frank's request, Julia brings him at least three men as sacrifices, but her daughter-in-law Kirsty catches them murdering one of the victims and flees, taking the Lament Configuration with her.
1st Death[]
Since Kirsty now knows about Frank, he and Julia realize they have to flee. However, Frank requires one more victim in order to become fully human again. It is here where Larry returns home, and where he is killed by Frank and Julia, so that Frank can use Larry's skin as a disguise to try and trick Kirsty into thinking she is her father. However, Kirsty ends up discovering the truth, and scratches off some of Frank's flesh. Enraged, Frank approaches Julia with a switchblade so he can stab her, and Julia holds Kirsty to prevent her from getting away. However, Kirsty breaks free of Julia's grasp, and Julia is accidently stabbed by Frank. Despite begging Frank to stop, Frank simply says 'Nothing perosnal, babe' and sucks her dry in order for him to repair the skin Kirsty scratched off. By some bizarre logic, though, her body somehow winds up on the bed with the Lament Configuration in her hands, which Kirsty uses to send the Cenobites back to hell.

Julia dies.
Hellbound: Hellraiser II[]
Biography[]
After the events of the first film, Kirsty is admitted to a psychiatric hospital run by Dr. Channard. Kirsty tells Channard, as well as Channard's assistant Kyle, all about the Cenobites, and pleads with them to destroy the mattress Julia died upon, since it could potentially be used for her to be able to ressurect herself, like it did with Frank in the attic. However, Dr. Channard is revealed to be secretly obsessed with the Lament Configuration and the idea of Hell, and has the mattress brought to his home, where he has one of his mentally ill patients cut himself while lying down on the mattress. The patient does so, and the resulting blood frees a skinless Julia from the Cenobite dimension. However, Kyle, who had went to Channard's house to investigate Kirsty's claims, happens to witness the event unfold without Channard or Julia realising.

The skinless Julia.
The next day Julia seduces Channard into bringing her more victims, so that she can be able to regenerate her skin. Kyle is also killed by Julia after he and Kirsty go back to Channard's house, him having believed Kirsty's claims after witnessing Julia's ressurection. Channard and Julia later kidnap Tiffany, a young, mute patient with a talent for solving puzzles, and force her to solve the Lament Configuration, so that she can open the gateway to Hell, and allow Julia and Channard to explore it. The two enter, alongside Tiffany, and are also followed by Kirsty soon after, who takes the Lament Configuration with her.
While exploring the Labyrith of Hell, Julia introduces Channard to the labyrinth's god Leviathan, who dwells in the form of a giant, diamond-shaped version of the Lament Configuration. Julia then suddenly betrays Channard, revealing that she has been requested to bring Leviathan souls, and forces Channard into a large chamber, which transforms him into a Cenobite. Later on, while exploring Hell, Kirsty encounters Frank Cotton (earlier on, Kirsty had a vision of a skinless body claiming that they were in Hell, and needed help. Kirsty believed it to be her father Larry). Frank reveals to Kirsty that the skinless body she had a vision of was really him, and attempts to attack her, but Kirsty starts a fire within Frank's personal hellscape, which melts Frank's flesh off. Julia appears, and Frank pleads for her to help him kill Kirsty, but Julia instead tears out Frank's heart as revenge for him stabbing her in the first film.
2nd Death[]
While pursuing Kirsty and Tiffany throughout the Layrinth of Hell, a powerful wind tunnel suddenly appears, and begins to suck the three in. Kirsty and Tiffany are able to hold on, but Julia isn't strong enough, and the force of the vacuum sucks her away, leaving only her skin behind.
