The Happy Toyz Truck is the main antagonist of Maximum Overdrive.
Biography[]
The Happy Toyz Truck was a black White Western Star 4800 truck adorned with a large, grinning Green Goblin mask adorned on the front, the face of a creepy clown painted on the back and the fictional company's logo painted on the sides.
The truck is first seen pulling into the Dixie Boy Truck Stop by Handy, who gets out to greet his buddy Duncan before heading inside to get a coffee. Later on, after Camp Loman argues with Brett Graham outside the truck stop, the Happy Toyz Truck is taken over by the aliens's influence and becomes sentient. It attempts to run over the two of them, but Brett pulls them both to safety just in time, after which the truck stops moving. Bill Robinson decides to give the truck a closer look, only to find that no-one is inside.
Later on, Loman heads outside to yell at Zeke's garbage truck after it smashes into his car. While he is distracted, the Happy Toyz truck drives in reverse and rams him, sending him flying into a mud puddle before the truck drives back to its original spot. Soon after, the Happy Toyz truck and several other sentient trucks begin circling the truck stop, leaving the humans trapped. The trucks continue to circle the building as Connie, Curtis and Deke join the rest of the survivor.
The next morning, the trucks suddenly stop moving, allowing a sentient bulldozer and M274 Mule to approach the truck stop. As the bulldozer begins smashing apart the walls, Bubba Hendershot tries and fails to destory the bulldozer with a rocket launcher, the Mule shoots and kills him alongside a handful of other survivors. The Mule then uses its horn to speak to the humans in morse code, demanding that all the trucks by refuelled. The humans comply, but after doing so, they realise that their machines have enslaved them, and so Bill devises a plan to get the humans to escape to safety. As night falls, Bill destroys the Mule with a grendade before he and the rest of the survivors escape through the sewer system as the trucks destroy the building in retaliation.

The truck exploding
As the survivors make their way to a marina, the Happy Toyz Truck appears and runs over Brad while he steals a diamond ring from a dead body. Bill then shoots the truck with a rocket launcher, blowing it up.
