Eric Daniels is the main protagonist in American Psycho 2: All American Girl.
Biography[]
After "Rachel Newman", a college student kills Brian, she schedules a meeting with the school psychiatrist, Dr. Eric Daniels. After some questions, Eric says "If you could be anyone in the world, besides yourself. Who would that be?" "Rachel Newman" said Elizabeth McGuire.
After "Rachel" leaves, Eric tells Starkman that one of his students are a sociopath. But for some reason he doesn't tell Starkman who it is, instead he gives him hints. The first hint is that it's a female student who is obsessed with him.
After "Rachel" kills Cassandra, she tells Daniels that she doesn't want to do her therapy sessions anymore. When Starkman see's Cassandra's corpse, he calls Eric to tell him that "she is dead, the person who we agreed not to saw the name of". Eric thinks that Starkman is talking about "Rachel".
When Eric and his mother are eating at a fancy place, he sees "Rachel" even when he thought she was dead. "Rachel" comes up to him and talks to him before leaving.
That night Daniels goes back to campus to finds some clues. He finds some empty pill bottle in Starkman's office. Daniels goes to the station to report the disappearance of Starkman. At the station he tells Jim and Harvey to help him find where Starkman is. Jim and Harvey tell Eric that Starkman is the third missing person, the others being Mrs. Gertrude Fleck, and Rachel Newman.
While "Rachel" is driving the corpse of Rachel and Starkman around, Eric Daniels, Jim, and Harvey see her speeding and chase her. When "Rachel" finally pulls over, she speeds again. Eric, Jim, and Harvey all spot the dead body of Starkman, "Rachel" almost runs them over but they dodge it last second. When the three avoided the car, "Rachel's" car flew off the road and had been set to flames.
Two years later Eric Daniels wrote a book about "Rachel Newman" and is doing book signings when Elizabeth McGuire ("Rachel Newman", having faked her death) approaches him. Eric signs the book but he realizes that "Rachel" is still alive.
