Dr. Hoeneger is a minor antagonist in The Wolfman (2010). He is played by Antony Sher.
Biography[]
Hoeneger was a somewhat sadistic doctor at the Lambeth Asylum, where he treated a young Lawrence Talbot after he discovered that his mother had supposedly commited suicide. 25 years later, Lawrence was sent back to the asylum due to the whole "him being possibly a werewolf" thing, and he and Hoeneger reunite.
Lawrence is put through a waterboarding process and is locked up in a cell.
Death[]
Late one night, Hoeneger has Lawrence taken out in restrains to an auditorium, with a window exposing him to the full moon, in an effort for Hoenger to confirm to Lawrence that he isn't a werewolf. Obviously, shit goes wrong, and Lawrence transforms and breaks out of his restraints, causing chaos to erupt everywhere. In the ensuing mayhem, Hoeneger is grabbed by the werewolf and thrown out the window, where he dies from being impaled on a spiky fence.
