Dieter is a minor antagonist in Hannibal Rising.
Biography[]
After knowing that Lady Murasaki has been kidnapped by Vladis Grutas. and getting information by Petras Kolnas along with killing him in the process, Hannibal Lecter goes to sneak onto Grutas's ship where he does his trafficking business. Dieter along with Jean were guarding the top of Grutas's ship.

Dieter's death
Hannibal manages to knock Jean off the ship into the water, While Dieter tries to help his friend it's too late as Jean is stuck in the water and ends up getting crushed between the boat and the dock killing him. After failing to save his friend Hannibal manages to overpower Vladis and carves "M" on his chest Dieter walks into the room with his gun to save her nephew Murasaki stabs Dieter in the throat killing him and exploding his dead body after the boat blows up.
