Detective Leon Vaughn is a supporting character in Valentine.
Biography[]
Detective Vaughn was a police officer who was assigned to investigate the murders. He shows up at Shelley Fisher's funeral, investigating her murder, even asks her friends Kate Davies, Lily Voight, Dorothy Wheeler and Paige Prescott about suspect Jason Marquette as the last person Shelley was with prior to her death, and vulgar Valentine's card signed "JM".
He chastises the ladies (particularly Paige) for not telling him about the cards signed J.M., meaning he essentially went on a wild goose chase after suspect Jason Marquette.
At the police station, while looking about Jeremy Melton, he questions Paige, Kate and Dorothy over the disappearance of their friend Lily and their current boyfriends, conman Campbell Morris and Adam Carr. After Kate and Dorothy leave, he sexually harasses Paige.

Kate discovering Vaughn's head in the pond
After being told by Lily's boyfriend Max Raimi that she did not arrive in Los Angeles as planned, Kate realizes she is also probably dead and calls Detective Vaughn. After dialing the number, she follows the sound of a ringtone outside Dorothy's house and discovers Vaughn's severed head in the fish pond.
