Courtney is a minor character in Countdown.
Biography[]
Courtney was the girlfriend of Evan and together they went to a party. There, she hung out with her friends, Kate, Allie, Glenn, Brock and an unnamed teenager. Together, the chatted and Kate ranted about how their classmate Liz Murphy kept on posting pictures of food online. While Allie was searching for an app that Kate was using to keep track of her calories, she came across an app known as Countdown, which claimed to be able to tell you when you would die. They made a bet, saying whoever had the shortest lifespan as shown on the app would have to drink several cups of alcohol, which Courtney reluctantly agreed to, downloading the app without reading the terms and conditions. While everyone else's apps showed that they had many years to live, Courtney's showed she only had three hours, meaning she lost the bet. Evan then came over and helped her drink the alcohol.
After Courtney and Evan left, Evan, still drunk, wanted to drive Courtney home. Courtney, deciding to be cautious, decided to walk home alone, leaving Evan to drive by himself. Soon after, she received a notification from the app saying she had broken the user agreement. While Courtney was walking, she noticed a dark figure stalking her. Rattled, she ran into her house and shut the door, locking it. As the countdown on her phone drew nearer to ending, it started emitting a loud noise, which Courtney only managed to stop after turning off her phone. After checking outside to make sure she was safe, she went into the bathroom and check behind the shower curtains, and went to drink her water.

Courtney dropped down from the ceiling, head hitting the bathtub, killing her as the timer reaches zero
While drinking water, she noticed the shower curtains were back in their position, and she went to check them, only for her phone to turn back on to the counter making her drop her glass. Suddenly, she was pulled up into the ceiling, a dropped, hitting her head on the bathtub, killing her just as the timer counted down to zero.
