Count Dracula is the titular main antagonist in Dracula.
Biography[]

Count Dracula in Dracula.
Renfield is a lawyer visiting Count Dracula's castle in Transylvania for professional reasons. The villagers nearby caution Renfield against visiting the castle because they believe it to be home to vampires. Renfield requests a ride to the Borgo Pass from his carriage driver rather than staying at the local inn. Dracula's coach, with Dracula posing as the driver, transports Renfield to the castle. A bat is leading the horses when Renfield pokes his head out the window to warn the driver to slow down but discovers that he has vanished.
The charming but quirky Count greets Renfield as he enters the castle; however, Renfield is unaware that the Count is a vampire. They talk about Dracula's plans to fly the following day to lease Carfax Abbey in England. Renfield is hypnotized by Dracula into opening a window. A bat comes, and Dracula's three wives approach Renfield as he collapses. Dracula dismisses them before attacking Renfield directly.
Renfield is a crazy mad slave to Dracula aboard the schooner Vesta, where the vampire hides in a coffin and feeds on the crew. Renfield is the sole person still alive when the ship arrives in England. Renfield is sent to the Carfax Abbey-adjacent sanatorium run by Dr. Seward.
Seward and Dracula meet in a theater in London. Seward introduces Lucy Weston, a family acquaintance, as well as his daughter Mina, John Harker, and their fiance. Dracula is an intriguing figure to Lucy. That evening when she is sleeping, Dracula enters her room and begins to feast on her blood. The day after receiving numerous blood transfusions, Lucy passes away.
Van Helsing shows Renfield wolfsbane, which Van Helsing claims is used as protection from vampires, which disturbs Renfield when Dracula contacts Renfield through the means of a wolf howling.
The vampire attacks Mina while she is dozing off in her bedroom. The following night, when Dracula pays them a visit, Van Helsing and Harker observe that he is missing his mirror reflection. Van Helsing breaks the mirror after telling Dracula this information. According to Van Helsing, Dracula is the vampire responsible for the recent disasters.
Dracula attacks Mina after she exits her room and runs to him in the garden. She is found by the maid. According to news articles, a woman in white is enticing kids out of the park and biting them. As a former vampire, Lucy is recognized by Mina as the woman. Renfield tells them how Dracula persuaded him to let him into the sanatorium by promising him thousands of rats full of blood and life before his attendant led Renfield back to his cell. Dracula enters the Seward parlor and engages Van Helsing in conversation. Dracula informs Van Helsing that Mina is now his property and issues a warning to go back to his native land. Van Helsing promises to destroy Dracula and dig Carfax Abbey. Van Helsing resists being hypnotized by Dracula because his resolve is greater. Van Helsing pulls a crucifix from his coat as Dracula lunges at him, compelling the vampire to back off.
When Mina is visited by Harker on a terrace, she expresses her love for "nights and fogs." Above them, a bat squeaks to Mina from the air. Harker is then attacked by her, but he is saved by Van Helsing and Seward. Mina reveals to Harker what Dracula has done to her and declares that their relationship is over.
Briggs is coerced by Dracula to open the windows and remove the wolfsbane from Mina's neck. Renfield is seen traveling toward Carfax Abbey by Van Helsing and Harker. In the Abbey, they witness Mina and Dracula. Dracula believes Renfield betrayed him by sending them there and kills him when Harker yells to Mina. Van Helsing and Harker are after Dracula since they are aware that he must sleep in his coffin during the daytime as the sun is rising.
