Clive Privler is a supporting character in Candyman (2021). He is portrayed by actor Brian King.
Biography[]
Clive Privler was an art dealer and the boyfriend of Jerrica Cooper. He was disappointed with visual artist Anthony McCoy's newest work, wanting the "Anthony McCoy of the future" and "The great black hope of the Chicago arts scene". Together, he and Jerrica worked at the art gallery where Anthony's art installation was put, and laughed after Anthony got drunk and argued with a man at the gallery.

Clive being hooked by Candyman
Later that night, Clive and Jerrica started cleaning up the art gallery and got drunk. Jerrica buckled her belt on Clive's pants and then said 'Candyman' five times in the mirror. At first nothing happened, but then, in the reflection of the mirror, Candyman slit Jerrica's throat. She bled out and Clive attempted to detach the belt to escape, and eventually managed to run to the door, only to be dragged back by Candyman. After this, he was hooked up in front of Anthony's exhibit by Candyman and killed on Jerrica's corpse.

- His first name is likely a refernce to Clive Barker, who wrote the story which the original Candyman movie was based on.
