The Dull Machete

Charles Lee Ray, a wanted serial killer, is being pursued by detective Mike Norris through the streets of Chicago and into a toy store. A dying Ray uses a voodoo incantation to transfer his soul to one of the on-display talking dolls from the Good Guy brand after Norris shoots him. When a lightning strike causes the store to explode, Norris discovers Ray's lifeless body next to the doll in the debris.

Andy, a six-year-old boy owned by widow Karen Barclay, cries out for a Good Guy doll for his birthday but the widow is unable to get him one. Soon after, she finds out that a Good Guy doll has been stolen and is being sold by a homeless man outside her place of business. She purchases it and gives Andy the item. The doll calls itself "Chucky" and seems normal. Maggie, Karen's closest friend, watches over Andy one evening while Karen works late. Maggie discovers Chucky watching a late-night newscast on Ray's passing in front of a television after Andy has gone to bed. After being attacked by Chucky, she is struck in the head with a hammer and is killed by tumbling out of the window. Despite Karen's objections, Norris believes Andy to be a suspect after the police search the apartment. Chucky allegedly killed Maggie, and Andy believes that he revealed to him that his real identity was "Charles Lee Ray".

Andy is told by Chucky to skip school the following day and catch a train into the city. Chucky sneaks into Eddie Caputo's home and kills him by setting off a gas explosion while Andy is preoccupied. After asserting Chucky is the guilty party, Andy is once more viewed as a suspect and is checked into a mental hospital. When Karen brings Chucky home, she finds the doll's box has batteries inside; the doll had been moving and speaking without them. Chucky brutally reanimates in Karen's arms and begins to assault her before fleeing. Terrified, Karen lights the fireplace and threatens to burn Chucky. Norris does not believe Karen when she tells her version of events to the police. Karen tracks down the seller of the doll and requests further details. When Norris shows up, he stops the man from attacking her. Norris coerces the man into confessing to robbing the doll from the burned-out toy shop.

Karen tries to persuade Mike once more that the doll is alive, but he continues to swear that he killed Ray. After taking Karen home, Chucky attacks Norris. During the subsequent melee, Norris shoots the doll, who then strangely bleeds and feels agony. Chucky manages to flee to John, his former voodoo teacher, who warns him that the doll will become more "human" the longer Chucky's spirit stays inside it. Chucky begs John to assist him in breaking the spell, but the latter declines. With the help of a voodoo doll, Chucky tortures John, forcing him to admit that in order to free himself from the doll's body, Chucky must give his soul to Andy, the first person he disclosed his actual nature to. John is fatally wounded when Chucky stabs the voodoo doll in the chest and then flees. Shortly after, Norris and Karen show up. John warns them that they must attack Chucky's heart in order to kill him before he passes away.

When Chucky gets to the mental hospital where Andy is being confined, he uses an electroshock therapy machine to kill a doctor there. Andy manages to escape the mayhem and run away from the house, but Chucky is right following him and knocks him down. Norris and Karen show there as Chucky gets ready to use the voodoo incantation to take control of him. Norris is hurt by Chucky. Chucky is successfully captured by Karen and Andy, who then set him ablaze to make it appear as though he has died (although he does escape from the fireplace). To assist Norris, Karen and Andy leave the room, but a burned-out Chucky emerges and pursues Andy. Chucky is shot repeatedly by Karen, who then blows him to bits. When Norris' partner Jack arrives at the flat, he initially doesn't think the three are telling the truth when they say the doll is alive. Jack is instantly choked by Chucky's body as it crashes through a vent. Chucky is finally put to death by Norris, who is able to shoot Chucky's body through the heart.

Child's Play 2 (1990)[]

Two years after the initial movie, the Play Pals Corporation, which makes the Good Guy dolls, bounces back from the bad press and puts Chucky back together to persuade its stockholders that there was nothing inherently wrong with the doll. One of the assembly line workers is electrocuted during the procedure by a power surge. Unaware that Chucky has been revived, Mr. Sullivan, the corporate boss, instructs his assistant Mattson to hide the accident and get rid of Chucky.

Since the murders, Andy Barclay, now eight years old, has been living with foster parents because his mother was institutionalized for supporting Andy's narrative about the murderous doll. Andy moves in with foster parents Phil and Joanne Simpson, who are also caring for Kyle, a street-smart, cynical adolescent girl. Before strangling Mattson with a plastic bag, Chucky calls Grace Poole, the director of Andy's foster center, on Mattson's car phone to learn where Andy is.

Another Good Guy doll named "Tommy" is destroyed and buried, and Chucky replaces it with himself to enter the house. After the two are held accountable for a family artifact Chucky destroyed, Andy and Kyle start to bond. That evening, Chucky ties Andy to his bed and makes himself known, but Kyle walks in before he can finish the voodoo spell to take possession of Andy. Andy says things about Chucky that Kyle doesn't agree with, but Phil and Joanne accuse Kyle and throw Chucky in the basement. Chucky experiences a nosebleed and understands he is evolving into a human. The following day, Chucky sneaks behind Andy to school and tampers with his homework, earning Andy a detention. Andy's instructor Mrs. Leanne Kettlewell is

The Dull Machete

killed by Chucky by being stabbed in the hart and then being beaten to death with a yardstick, but Andy is able to flee. Andy tries to warn his foster parents about Chucky, but Phil doesn't take him seriously and wonders whether he should take him back to the foster home.

Andy slips down the basement one evening with the intention of killing Chucky with an electric knife, but the doll defeats him. Phil gets tripped by Chucky as he approaches the disturbance to inspect it, falling and breaking his neck. Andy is instantly blamed by Joanne, who then returns him to the foster home unfairly. When Kyle finds "Tommy" buried outside, he understands Andy was speaking the truth the entire time. When she arrives to warn Joanne, she finds that Chucky has already taken her life. Kyle is forced to drive Chucky to the foster home when Chucky ambushes her. Chucky activates the fire alarm there to evacuate the structure. In order to complete the voodoo chant, he stabs Grace to death and coerces Andy into taking him to the Play Pals plant. Before Chucky knocks Andy out and completes the ritual, Kyle chases them to the factory but is unable to locate them.

ChuckyDeath2

The spell does not work, though, because Chucky has been stuck inside his doll form for too long and cannot escape. Chucky is enraged and pursues Andy and Kyle across the factory with the intention of killing them both. Chucky is struck by a gate that Kyle slams shut; he rips off his hand and replaces it with a homemade blade. After Chucky kills a manufacturing worker, Kyle and Andy are able to catch him in a massive assembly line machine that mutilates his body and makes it look like he has died. Kyle is eventually put to sleep after Chucky escapes the machine by amputating his own legs. By turning on a valve and letting a deadly stream of hot, molten plastic fall on Chucky, Andy is able to vanquish him a second time. The two approach the half-melted Chucky after saving the unconscious Kyle from a conveyor belt, but he suddenly assaults them once more.

Kyle rams a high-pressure air hose into his mouth during the battle, inflating it until it explodes, giving the impression that he has been killed and beheaded. Uncertain of their next steps, Andy and Kyle leave the factory.

Child's Play 3 (1998)[]

Eight years after Chucky's second death, the Play Pals firm reopens the shuttered factory and starts producing Good Guy dolls once more. Inadvertently mixing Chucky's blood with the plastic used to make the dolls results in Chucky's resurrection in an updated body. Mr. Sullivan, the CEO of Play Pals, receives Chucky. After killing him by strangling him, Chucky utilizes computer records to find Andy Barclay.

Andy, who is now 16 years old, was relegated to Kent Military School after struggling in a number of foster homes. The commandant of the institution, Colonel Cochrane, counsels Andy to put his "fantasies" concerning the doll to rest. Andy makes friends with Ronald Tyler, an 8-year-old cadet, Harold Aubrey Whitehurst, and Kristin DeSilva, with whom he eventually falls in love. Brett C. Shelton, a cruel lieutenant colonel who often mistreats the

The Golden Chainsaw

cadets, is another person he meets.

To deliver a box to Andy's room, Tyler is tasked. Tyler takes the gift to the cellar to open it after realizing it is a Good Guy doll. When Chucky emerges from the package, he is furious to see Tyler there instead of Andy. However, he tells Tyler his secret after recalling that he can possess the first person to discover his actual identity. Cochrane interrupts them and seizes the doll, tossing it into a garbage truck before Chucky can perform the ceremony. By luring the driver into the truck's compactor and suffocating him, Chucky makes his getaway.

Later that evening, Chucky confronts Andy and reveals his intentions to take over Tyler's body. Shelton enters and snatches the doll away from Andy before he has a chance to respond. When Sheldon awakens to confront Andy, he discovers that Chucky has disappeared. Andy then sneaks into Shelton's room to get it. Sheldon makes all the cadets perform workouts as punishment since he thinks the doll was stolen. DeSilva and fellow cadet Ivers thwart Chucky's effort to possess Tyler once more. Later, Cochrane is unintentionally shocked into having a deadly heart attack by a knife-wielding Chucky. The following morning, Andy tries to persuade Tyler that Chucky is bad, but Tyler is unreceptive to his arguments. In the meantime, Chucky slashes Sgt. Botnick's throat with a straight razor to kill the camp barber. When Whitehurst notices this, she runs away.

The school's yearly war games, with cadets divided into a "Red Team" and "Blue Team," are ordered to go on as scheduled despite Cochrane's passing;

The Golden Chainsaw

Andy and Shelton are both on the Blue Team. Chucky sneakily switches out the Red team's paintballs for live fire. As soon as the simulation starts, Chucky removes Tyler from his group. Tyler stabs Chucky with a pocketknife after finally discovering his terrible nature and running away to look for Andy. DeSilva is then attacked by Chucky, who holds her captive. Andy is compelled by Chucky to switch Tyler for DeSilva. Shelton is killed by one of the shots fired by the Red Team when the Blue team and Red team arrive on the scene and start firing. Tyler flees in the commotion. A grenade is thrown by Chucky at the quarreling cadets. In order to save the others, Whitehurst jumps on top of the grenade.

ChuckyDeath3

Chucky and Tyler are pursued by Andy and Kristin onto a local carnival's roller coaster with a haunted house motif. Andy is left to battle Chucky alone after he kills a security guard, kidnaps Tyler, and shoots Kristin in the leg with a stolen gun. Chucky's arm is shot off by Andy using the security guard's

The Golden Chainsaw

revolver, preventing Chucky from completing the ritual to control Tyler. Chucky approaches Andy once more just as Tyler and Andy are about to depart, but Tyler gives Andy his pocket knife, which he uses to sever Chucky's hand. Then Andy throws Chucky into the attraction's enormous metal fan, where he gets torn to bits and eventually killed. As the carnival comes to an end, Andy is later hauled away by the police for questioning while DeSilva is transported to the hospital.

Bride of Chucky (1998)[]

Before killing Charles Lee Ray, Tiffany Valentine, a former flame and accomplice of the serial killer, paid a policeman to hand her the pieces of a child's doll that Ray's soul had inhabited from an evidence locker. Tiffany sews and staples Chucky back together and performs the voodoo ritual that had placed Ray's soul within the doll 10 years earlier because she thinks that Ray's spirit is still present in the doll.

Tiffany watches in glee when Chucky awakens and smothers Tiffany's goth admirer Damien to death with a pillow, despite the fact that her incantations appear to have failed. Tiffany gives Chucky a ring she thought was an engagement ring that he had left behind the night before he was slain. Tiffany confines Chucky in a playpen and taunts him with a wedding doll when he admits that he never intended to wed Tiffany. Chucky escapes the pen and electrocutes Tiffany to death in the bathtub.

Then he transfers her soul into the bride doll and instructs them to find a magical necklace that was interred with his body in order to do the same for Tiffany's next-door neighbor Jesse and his lover Jade. In exchange for payment, Tiffany calls Jesse and asks him to deliver the two dolls to the cemetery in Hackensack, New Jersey. Jesse accepts the deal, eager to elope with Jade. Police chief Warren Kincaid, the strict uncle of Jade, frames Jesse by hiding marijuana in his van. After setting up a trap in which Warren's face is pierced by multiple nails, Chucky and Tiffany conceal his body inside the van. The journey of Jesse and Jade starts. Officer Norton stops the two and discovers the marijuana in Jesse's van. Chucky flips off a man before putting a shirt in the gas tank and sets it ablaze. Norton is inside the car when it explodes, and Jesse and Jade flee the scene.

They start to distrust each other and both start to think that one of them might have started the event. Regardless of their problems, Jesse and Jade wed. Another couple steals Jesse's money when he is staying at a hotel. Tiffany kills the couple by impaling them with glass shards while they engage in sexual activity in their bedroom. After proposing to Tiffany after realizing this, Chucky. The next morning, Jesse and Jade leave with their friend David after he visited the hotel after they both made separate calls the night before, concerned that the other might be the murderer. Although Jesse and Jade are the main suspects in the deaths, David says he still feels they are both innocent. David threatens them with a revolver after discovering Warren's dead body and calls a police officer. When the dolls come to life, David gets run down on the highway after backing onto it. The dolls reveal their scheme as Jesse and Jade depart in their car.

Chucky Death4

To avoid the police, they steal an RV, where Jesse and Jade start a fight between Chucky and Tiffany. During the ensuing chaos, Jesse throws Chucky out the window, while Jade locks Tiffany in the oven. The RV then flips over and smashes into a ditch. Chucky forces Jade to accompany him to his grave while Jesse and Tiffany follow. As instructed by Chucky, Jade takes the amulet out of the coffin. Then Tiffany and Jesse show there, and they exchange prisoners before Chucky stabs Jesse in the back and binds them up for the ritual. Tiffany gives Chucky a kiss and stabs him with his dagger as he begins the spell. Following a struggle, Tiffany loses consciousness as Chucky stabs her in the heart. Jesse uses a shovel to push Chucky into his own grave. Lt. Preston, a private eye, arrives and discovers Chucky moving around and chatting in the grave. Chucky is fatally wounded after Jade takes Preston's gun and shoots him many times in the chest.

Preston sends the couple home after phoning the police and announcing the teens' innocence. Tiffany suddenly wakes up as he examines her body, screams, and gives birth to a baby doll that assaults Preston.

Seed of Chucky (2004)[]

Glen, the kind-hearted living-doll child of Chucky and Tiffany, has a nightmare in which he murders a little girl's parents six years after the events of the last movie. He is actually working as a dummy in England for a violent ventriloquist by the name of "Psychs." Glen discovers he is their son after watching a sneak peek of Jennifer Tilly's upcoming horror movie Chucky Goes Psycho on television, which depicts the doll versions of Chucky and Tiffany that have been redesigned from their original bones.

Glen flees Psychs and follows the Chucky and Tiffany dolls to a prop room in Hollywood because he really wants to find out who his parents are. Glen revives them with the Heart of Damballa, a voodoo charm. When Chucky finds out he has a son, he collapses, but Tiffany is ecstatic. Tiffany and Chucky use a wire to decapitate a special effects technician who is tearing Tiffany apart. After discovering the headless body, Jennifer calls the police. Chucky, Tiffany, and Glen secretly take her limousine to her house.

Glen, who believes that violence is wrong after seeing his parents kill the technician, asks his parents why they kill. Chucky responds that it aids in their relaxation. Conversely, Tiffany agrees with Glen out of a sense of parental duty and coerces Chucky into making a false commitment to cease killing in order to protect their son. In Redman's first feature film as a filmmaker, Jennifer hopes to land a part as the Virgin Mary. Jennifer invites him to her house with the intention of seducing him for the role after he informs her she is not the appropriate fit.

Redman and Jennifer will get the souls of Chucky and Tiffany. Tiffany knocks them out and inseminates Jennifer with Chucky's sperm using a turkey baster. Chucky drives Glen to Pete Peters' darkroom when they accidentally run off the road while driving Britney's automobile. Peters had captured images of Chucky masturbating and Tilly kissing Redman. Glen tries to warn Peters that Chucky is ready to attack, but Peters accidently kills himself by bumping into a shelf and causing a container of sulfuric acid to fall into his skull. To the surprise of Glen and Tiffany, Chucky is pleased and snaps a photo to celebrate, thinking Glen did this on purpose.

The following morning, when Jennifer awakens, she discovers she is pregnant and accuses Redman of being to blame. Jennifer is perplexed when Redman disputes this and admits that he previously underwent a vasectomy. Redman is brutally murdered by Tiffany. Because of the voodoo powers, Jennifer awakens the following morning with a bulging tummy. To replace Redman, Chucky kidnaps Jennifer and her personal assistant Stan. When Glen's evil twin sister Glenda, whose soul shares Glen's body and has taken control, tries to aid Jennifer, she kills her. Glen, who is appalled by what has transpired, is brought back by Tiffany slapping Glenda.

Tiffany discovers that both Glen and Glenda can occupy the twins when Jennifer gives birth to a boy and a girl. Chucky has a realization: he has finally come to terms with his status as a living doll and has given up his desire to become a person. Tiffany, who is disgusted, decides to take Glen with her instead of Chucky. To prevent Tiffany from leaving him, enraged Chucky tosses a knife at Jennifer, but Stan steps in to save her. The dolls are forced to leave when the police show up.

Chucky Death5

Jennifer is taken emergency medical care. Tiffany gives Jennifer pills and starts to possess her, but Chucky enters and uses an axe to kill Tiffany. Glen, who is devastated, snaps and assaults Chucky, hacking at him with an axe. Chucky suspects it's Glenda once more, but Glen reveals it's actually him, now that he's strong enough to kill in retaliation for the death of his mother. While dismembering Chucky, who applauds Glen for his acts before being beheaded, Glen shouts at his father, wondering if he is now proud of him. Glen has a breakdown when he realizes what he has done, and Jennifer consoles him.

At Jennifer's children's birthday celebration in 2009, five years later, a nanny resigns from her position because Jennifer's daughter Glenda terrifies her. As Tiffany is killed by Jennifer, it is made clear that Tiffany was successful in transferring Tiffany's soul into Jennifer's body. Glen discovers Chucky's severed limb when he opens a birthday present, and it immediately reaches out to grab him.

Curse of Chucky (2011-2013)[]

In 2011, paraplegic Nica Pierce and her mother Sarah live in a remote house when a Good Guy doll named Chucky unexpectedly shows up in the mail. Sarah paints the same flowers compulsively and over. Later that evening, Sarah is discovered dead from a stab wound, and it is determined that she committed suicide.

Barb, her husband Ian, their daughter Alice, live-in nanny Jill, and the priest Father Frank pay Nica a visit. Chucky is found by Alice, who is permitted to keep him. Chucky slips rat poison into one of the supper dishes that night while Alice and Nica are preparing chili. Frank the priest ingests the poison. He becomes ill after he leaves, and a car accident results in his decapitation. Nica searches online that evening to learn more about Chucky and discovers news articles regarding the deaths connected to both the doll and Charles Lee Ray. Nica wonders where the doll originated.

In another scene, Chucky awakens and electrocutes Jill, bringing on a blackout. Barb, carrying Chucky in her arms, searches the attic for Alice and discovers Sarah's extensive collection of artwork using the same flower. With the use of a knife she finds hidden inside Chucky's shirt, she removes some of the now-loose synthetic skin from Chucky and exposes the sutures Tiffany, his ex-girlfriend, had made. She is stabbed in the eye by the suddenly awakened Chucky. When Nica hears Barb scream, she scrambles up the stairs and finds both her dead body and the doll still alive. Nica wakes up Ian in a panic when Chucky runs away, but Ian is unable to find Alice. Nica gets disarmed by him since he thinks she committed the murders.

Chucky acts dead despite Nica's efforts to convince him that he is still alive. To find proof of Barb's alleged extramarital affair with Jill, Ian chooses to watch the video from the nanny cam he had earlier installed on Chucky. He discovers that Alice is imprisoned in a closet and that Chucky is actually still alive. Exposed, Chucky murders Ian by using a hatchet to remove his lower jaw. Nica successfully escapes her bonds and blocks the hatchet with her paralyzed legs. When it becomes trapped, Nica can seize it and cut off Chucky's head. Chucky reattaches his head and pushes Nica off the balcony and onto the ground floor while she tends to her wound.

Chucky confesses through flashbacks that he was Charles Lee Ray, a friend of Nica's family, and was enamored with Sarah when Nica questions why he is acting in this way. During Sarah's pregnancy with Nica, Ray abducted Sarah and killed Nica's father. Sarah was held captive, and Charles sent her dozens of flowers—the same kind of blooms she was compelled to paint. When Sarah betrayed him, he stabbed her in the tummy, causing Nica to be born paraplegic, and then he ran away. Ray's escape from the police finally caused him to perish as a person, which is why he returned to Sarah to exact his vengeance. Nica manages to flee into her house elevator, disarm Chucky, and delay him by making fun of his incompetence to kill his last target Andy Barclay. After delaying him by making fun of his failure to kill Andy Barclay, his previous target, Nica is able to escape into her house elevator, disarm Chucky, and stab him in the back. Before coming to life again, Chucky is immobile for some time.

When Officer Stanton, who also discovered Father Frank's body, arrives at the residence, he discovers Barb's body. Chucky is immobile in the corner of the room as Nica stands by herself in the elevator holding a bloodied knife. Nica is later accused of the killings and committed to a mental hospital. Stanton keeps Chucky after having him as a witness in her trial. Tiffany, who is still within Jennifer Tilly's body, ambushes Stanton and kills him. She picks up Chucky and then takes him to a packaging facility to be sent to a new victim. Chucky is waiting for Alice when she gets home from school because she now lives with her grandmother.

In a 2013 post-credits scene, Andy, who is now an adult, receives Chucky while he is still in his doll body. Chucky uses a knife to cut his way out of the packaging as Andy looks away to accept a call from his mother. Chucky wanders about the home before being shot by Andy with a shotgun.

Cult of Chucky (2017)[]

For four years, beginning in 2017, Andy Barclay has been torturing Chucky's severed head. Nica Pierce, who is confined to a wheelchair, was committed to a mental hospital after being falsely accused of her family's murders by Chucky. Nica now thinks Chucky was a symptom of her madness and that she committed the murders. Nica is moved to a medium-security psychiatric institution by her physician, Dr. Foley.

Nica encounters Malcolm, a patient with many identities disorder, Angela, a patient who thinks she is dead, Claire, a patient who set her house on fire, and Madeleine, a patient who smothered her infant son, in group therapy. Foley describes a therapy method that uses a Good Guy doll. Except for Madeleine, who treats it like her baby, the majority of the patients are uneasy. When Tiffany Valentine, Alice's legal guardian, visits Nica, she is shocked to find that Alice has passed away. Nica finds a Good Guy toy that Tiffany claims was a present from Alice. Chucky wakes up that night to see Nica's wrists cut. Nica wakes up the following morning to discover that Angela has been slain and that her wrists have been sewn. Nica understands Chucky is real after learning that "Valentine" was the last name of Chucky's girlfriend. Nica asks Malcolm to alert Madeleine because she fears for her safety. Malcolm and the doll are both thrown into an empty grave by Madeleine, but orderlies save them. Nica begins to believe Malcolm has been possessed as he starts calling himself "Charles" and acting like Chucky. Then, Chucky beheads Claire to finish the job.

When Andy finds out about the killings, he thinks Chucky has somehow managed to simultaneously transfer his soul into several bodies. Nica consents to being hypnotized during a private session with Foley in order to uncover any suppressed memories about the killings. Foley is struck from behind by Chucky after abusing Nica sexually. Although Foley thinks Nica is responsible for the assault, he is prepared to remain silent in order to use her as leverage to extract further sexual favors. Making her confront the effects of losing her own child, Madeleine smothers her Good Guy doll with a pillow. In order to appease Madeleine, the orderlies bury the doll. Andy assaults a security guard to show his commitment to the facility. Foley receives a box from Carlos, a nurse, containing another Good Guy doll with short, shaved hair. Madeleine enables her doll to kill her when it pays her a visit.

BuzzcutDeath

Buzzcut's death

Once more, Foley tries to attack Nica, but one of the Chucky dolls knocks him unconscious. Because Madeline's doll split its soul inside of Foley's doll, two dolls are now alive. The short-haired doll is roused by one of the other dolls. According to the Chuckys, the original Chucky discovered a voodoo technique online that allowed him to split his soul across several host bodies, forming a "cult." Alice was one host, but she was killed. Then Carlos is killed by the dolls. Tiffany comes back and murders an outside security officer. With the help of Foley's Chucky doll, Nica's body regains the ability to walk after receiving Foley's soul. Using the high-heeled shoes that Foley had earlier given Nica, she stomps on his head and kills him. After killing fellow nurse Ashley, Malcolm confesses that he is aware that he is not Chucky and that he only invented "Charles" to serve as an alternative identity. In an unexpected ambush, Madeleine's Chucky kills him. Attacking Andy, the short-haired Chucky is restrained by Andy, who also reaches into the doll's chest, pulls out a concealed revolver, and says that he sent Chucky to the institution. He kills himself by shooting the doll and stomping on its head. Nica shows up and mocks him. When Andy tries to aim at her, he realizes he is out of ammo. Nica confines Andy to his cell.

Nica, who is controlled by Foley's Chucky, escapes when Madeleine's Chucky pretends to be dead. Before leaving together with a Tiffany doll that is both alive and shares some of Tiffany's soul, she reunites with Tiffany outside. In a post-credits scene, Andy's previous foster sister Kyle arrives at Andy's home after being instructed to carry out the original Chucky's head-torture ritual.

Chucky: Season 1 (2021)[]

Charles Lee Ray and his mother are seated together in 1965, beaming as they gaze joyfully in the mirror. Charles Lee Ray comes home from trick-or-treating in 1965. He checks his candy and discovers an apple with a razor blade inside of it, but he still eats it while cutting his mouth. Charles Lee Ray, then a child, aids an unidentified assailant in killing his parents in 1965. A teenage Charles Lee Ray is observed residing in a foster boarding house in 1972 along with other kids, including his young and future cohort Eddie Caputo. In an innocent game, Charles kills the housekeeper, and when the other kids see the housekeeper's body in a forest, they become frightened. He eventually departs the house and bids Caputo farewell, giving him a special gift in the shape of the janitor's severed hand in a box. Charles Lee Ray, a young adult, is pictured in the 1980s flirting with an exotic dancer he meets there. He brings the dancer and another lady, a redhead, to a hotel, where the two ladies put on a display until Charles kills the dancer, much to the delight of both him and the other woman, later identified as a young Tiffany. Tiffany and Charles Lee Ray kill the auto dealer in 1987 after buying him a car. Charles reads a Voodoo-related book while they go. In 1988, Tiffany learns that Charles murders people behind her back. They argue before he rushes out. As Charles exits his apartment in 1988, Tiffany makes a complaint about the "Lakeshore Strangler" to Detective Mike Norris.

Jake Wheeler, a 14-year-old middle school student, decides to use Chucky, a vintage Good Guy doll, in his own contemporary art project. He buys Chucky from a yard sale. After an unpleasant dinner with some relatives, Jake's father Lucas decides to demolish the project because he doesn't like Jake's interest. The following day, Jake brings Chucky to school in an effort to sell it for a profit; however, Lexy Cross, his cousin Junior's girlfriend, starts to tease him. Andy Barclay contacts Jake at night and advises him to use the doll carefully. After ensuring that Chucky is battery-free, Jake discards him. Jake is forced to perform a phony act of ventriloquism by Chucky at the school talent contest. Chucky publicly humiliates Lexy during the show, and Jake is consequently expelled from school. After a heated discussion about Jake's sexuality, Lucas later punches Jake; shortly after, Chucky kills Lucas. Junior's parents Logan and Bree take Jake in, and Chucky suggests possibly killing Lexy as well.

After his father passes away, Jake goes back to school and is welcomed to Oliver's Halloween party. Chucky kills the maid for the Wheelers while everyone is away. Chucky, who pretends to be innocent, is confronted by Jake and tries to persuade him that he is on his side. That evening, Junior and Jake overhear Logan and Bree debating whether or not they can even care for Jake, and Junior starts to worry that Jake might injure Lexy. Despite being instructed to escort her sister Caroline, who has developed a fixation on Chucky ever since witnessing him perform in the talent show, trick-or-treating on the night of the Halloween party, Lexy decides to go to the party instead. As soon as Jake realizes Chucky is missing, he makes the decision to stay home rather than rushing to the party. He discovers Lexy there making fun of his father's passing while disguised as him. Jake prevents Chucky from killing her in spite of his wrath. That evening, Chucky makes another attempt to persuade Jake to start killing.

Jake is persuaded by Chucky to succumb to the impulse to kill Lexy after recalling his encounter with an unidentified serial killer attacker in the 1960s. During a run, Jake tries to kill Lexy, but is stopped by Junior, who encourages Lexy to apologize to Jake because he is concerned about what Jake is capable of. Lexy apologizes to Jake because of this and Caroline's tantrum about wanting Chucky in the hopes that Chucky will calm Caroline down. Jake initially says no, but when Chucky chooses to murder Lexy himself, Jake agrees and appears to give in. Due to recent occurrences, Lexy's parents, the town's mayor Michelle Cross and her husband Nathan, are also summoned to a parent meeting alongside Logan and Bree. At the same time, Lexy covertly arranges a rave party with Junior, Oliver, and classmate Devon Evans in attendance. As Junior and Oliver vie for Lexy, tensions grow. The other partygoers are preoccupied with the loud music and are utterly unconscious of Oliver's screams as Chucky mistakenly stabs Oliver for Lexy and kills him upstairs. As Jake visits his parents' graves, Chucky locks Lexy in a room and starts a fire that quickly spreads across the house.

Caroline ends up in the ICU as a result of the fire. Jake and Lexy reluctantly work together to help Chucky look into Lexy's burned-out house. While Devon investigates the urban mythology behind Charles Lee Ray's transformation into a Good Guy doll, Junior is undergoing a medical treatment. At Lexy's house, despite Chucky's appearance and his attempts to persuade Jake to let Lexy die, Jake saves her from falling from the railing. After that, a policeman shows up and drives Chucky and them to the hospital.
