Christine 'Chrissie' Watkins is a minor character in Jaws.
Biography[]
During a beach party at dusk on Amity Island, New England, Chrissie was visiting the island of Amity for summer break with Tom Cassidy. She asks Tom to follow her and to go skinny dipping in the ocean, where Tom passes out beforehand.
Death[]
Chrissie's Death
While treading water, she is attacked by Bruce The Shark and is dragged around the ocean. She tries to scream for help, but Tom is still passed out and the other party guests don't hear her. She then tried desperately to save herself by grabbing onto a buoy, but she was swiftly dragged under the water and eaten.

Chrissie's remains later washed ashore and were discovered by Deputy Jeff Hendriks of the APD and Chief Martin Brody.
Trivia[]
- The dragging around the ocean and Chrissie's cries of help were a result of Chrissie's actress, Susan Backlinie, reacting by surprise as she was getting tugged back and forth with a pulley system she was rigged up to.
- Her death is one of the most unforgettable, iconic, most famous and well-known scene in the Jaws franchise and in movie history since Marion Crane's death in the original Psycho.
