Chip Dove is a major character in Jennifer's Body. He is played by Johnny Simmons.
Biography[]
Chip was the boyfriend of Anita "Needy" Lesnicki. He is first shown talking to Needy before she leaves to go to the concert at Melody Lane. The next day, after Melody Lane burns down, needy tries to tell Chip about how Jennifer had broken into her house late last night, whilst openly displaying disturbing behaviour, such as throwing up black sludge. However, Chip dismisses the tale as a product of trauma from the fire.
A month later, Needy and Chip have sex, but during intercourse, Needy has a vision of a dead Jonas Kozelle in the room, with Jennifer leaning over him, smiling. She thus abruptly flees Chip's home, looking for Jennifer. Later on, Needy tells Chip that she can't go to the Spring Formal with him, and reveals that Jennifer has become a succubus, thanks to Low Shoulder using her as a sacrifice to Satan. She thus explains that the Spring Formal will become a huge target for Jennifer in obtaining new victims, and warns Chip not to go, even going as far as to "break up" with him in order to keep him safe.
However, Chip doesn't listen to Needy, and whilst walking to the dance by himself, Jennifer approaches him, and "falsely" claims that Needy has cheated on him with Colin Gray. She then seduces Chip, and takes him to an old, abandoned pool house. Inside, Jennifer tries coming onto Chip. He turns her down, saying it "feels wrong", but Jennifer throws him into the pool and begins attacking him.

Whilst at the dance, Needy realises that Jennifer and Chip aren't there. She fears that Chip may be in danger, and so runs off to find him. By time she arrives, she finds that Jennifer has violent bitten out Chip's neck. She jumps in to save him, and drags him out of the pool, where she and Jennifer confront eachother face-to-face. Jennifer tries to attack her, but Chip stops Jennifer by stabbing her through the gut with a pool skimmer. Annoyed, Jennifer leaves, but Chip then falls to the ground. He and Needy tearfully say that they love eachother before Chip bleeds out and dies.
