Charles is a character in Frogs.
Biography[]
Charles was the butler of the Crockett Mansion.
Pickett Smith, a wildlife photographer, is canoeing through a swamp near the island home estate of the affluent and powerful Crockett family while capturing pictures of the indigenous flora and animals. Numerous signs of contamination can be seen throughout the marsh, and Pickett thinks these signs are related to the island plantation's usage of pesticides. Clint Crockett and his sister Karen accompany Smith to a house where he meets the entire family when Clint accidently flips over his canoe. Jason, the grumpy, wheelchair-bound father of the family, plans to spend the Fourth of July and his birthday festivities the following day without interruption. Pickett tries to make a phone call, but his phone is suddenly dead. Jason then dispatches Grover to exterminate the frogs that devour humans. Later, Pickett comes upon Grover's body in a local marsh not far from Jason's home, covered with snake bites. He must not bring it up to anybody else, according to Jason.
Michael Martindale leaves the following morning before dawn to investigate a downed power line. Unusual white moss hanging from the trees immobilizes him when he unintentionally shoots himself in the leg. He is bitten by tarantulas that come down from branches.
Iris Martindale, Jason's daughter, sends her son Ken to a greenhouse to gather white daisies for a centerpiece back at Jason's house. Dozens of tokay geckos and tegus enter behind him as he grabs the flowers. He is killed by the deadly gas that is released as the lizards knock over several hazardous chemical jars on the shelves. Pickett urges everyone to evacuate the island because of the threat presented by zoo animals, but Jason is resolute that nothing will ruin his birthday.
Iris gets startled by snakes and juvenile alligators while pursuing a butterfly. She then panics and falls into a puddle, where leeches grab upon her. She collapses next to a sleeping rattlesnake, which attacks and kills her since she is exhausted and severely hurt. Stuart, her husband, finds her while searching for her, stumbles into some muck, and two alligators consume him.
Death[]

The trio's deaths.
Jason's butler and chef, Charles and Maybelle, as well as Kenneth's fiancée, Bella Garrington, make the decision to leave on Pickett's counsel. Clint drives them on his motorboat across the lake. While the others investigate, Clint searches a nearby bush. A group of golden eagles fly in and then vanish behind a tree, leaving no trace of their whereabouts (although a strewn-open bag is later discovered). James gave him the Dull Machete alongside Maybelle and Bella Garrington because it was offscreen without proof.
