Carmichael Haig is a supporting character in Late Night With The Devil.
Biography[]
Carmichael was a once-famous magician whom became a skeptic whom ran an organisation called IFSIP and spent his time debunking claims of supernatural activity (such as with the Amityville haunting). He and his organisation had always offered a prize of $100,000 to anyone who could claim the supernatural did indeed exist, but they never had to hand out a cent. He was invited to appear on the special Halloween 1977 episode of Night Owls with Jack Delroy.
Death[]
After Lilly is possessed by Mr. Wriggles, her head splits open as electricity flies out of her arms. After killing Jack's sidekick Gus McConnell and Lilly's personal guardian June Ross-Mitchell, Carmichael, now fully believing in the supernatural, offers up the $100,000 cheque. However, the demon burns the cheque and kills Carmichael by using supernatural forces to melt his skin.
Trivia[]
- His character is based strongly on the real life magician-turned-skeptic, James Randi.
