CW is the main antagonist in Influencer. She is a serial killer with an unknown backstory whom generally targets social media influencers. She was played by Cassandra Naud.
Biography[]
CW is first shown when Madison Rose sees her hanging out by herself in a pool in Thailand. CW and Madison later see eachother again at the bar, when CW sees an old man trying to flirt with Madison and tells him to back off.
CW and Madison then take a walk together, where Madison says that she is mainly using her Thailand vacation to get views on social media. CW thus decides to take Madison on a tour around the place, and the two become friends. When Madison gets back to her place, however, she finds that someone has broken in and stolen her passport, and she'll have to wait two weeks to get a new one. CW thus decides to show Madison around Thailand some more, and allows Madison to stay at her ultramodern house in the middle of the jungle.
The following day, CW takes Madison on a speedboat to a deserted island in the middle of nowhere. The girls stay there until nighttime, and, as they hang out around a small campfire, CW talks to Madison about, if she were left alone on the island, she would die within a few days since the island has hardly any food and absolutely no cell network, and no-one would come looking for her. Madison laughs it off, but the next morning, as she sleeps, CW takes the speedboat and abandons her on the island.
Three weeks later, CW has completely taken over Madison's social media and bank accounts, using a wig, Photoshop, deepfakes and AI to essentially steal Madison's identity. One morning, CW makes a post on Madison's account, claiming that she's "taking a break" from social media, before she hops on Instagram to locate another victim. She finds one in the form of Jessica Tiegan, a much more popular influcner. CW travels to Bangkok to meet with her. After her first attempt to connect with her fails, CW does some research on Jessica's accounts, and tracks her down at a bar the following night. CW claims to be a massive fan of Jessica's, earning her trust. Later, CW steals Jessica's keycard and breaks into her apartment to steal her passport.
After Jessica finds her passport gone, CW tells her she can stay at the place she has been staying at under Madison's bank account. When they get there, however, they encounter Madison's boyfriend and finance man Ryan Evans, who came to the place to meet with Madison. CW lies to Ryan and claims that Madison does not want to see him, and the next morning, when Ryan tries to call Madison, CW uses a text-to-speech AI that sounds like Madison, which tells Ryan that they have broken up and he needs to leave. Ryan refuses and decides to stay and wait to meet with Madison in-person.
The next day, Jessica and Ryan become suspicious of CW after learning that Madison's passport was stolen, just like Jessica's. That night, CW confrotns Jessica as she is packing her luggage, and when Jessica calls her "creepy", CW slams Jessica's face against a brick wall, and, as she tries to crawl away, strangles her and stomps on her throat, killing her. CW then stuffs Jessica's body into her suitcase and cleans up thr crime scene before Ryan gets back.
The next morning, CW tells Ryan that Jessica has left, and Ryan sees on Instagram that "Madison" has found a new boyfriend. The two later go out to have dinner together, and Ryan tells CW that she could be a popular influencer like Madison. CW then slips a roofie into Ryan's drink, and during his drugged state, she takes Ryan back to the house and throws a condom onto the floor before getting into Ryan's Instagram account and deleting all the photo posts that have her in them. When Ryan wakes up, he sees the condom and believes that he and CW had sex. Feeling unnerved, he goes to leave Thailand, following which CW burns Madison's passport and the wig she was using to impersonate her. Howver, Ryan decides against leaving Thailand at the last minute, and ends up discovering that Madison's recent posts have been faked by CW.
Ryan heads back to the house and ties up CW after knocking her out. He demands to know where Madison is, and CW agrees to take him to her. When she takes him down to the dock, however, she shoves Ryan into the water and drowns him. After fishing his body out of the water, CW makes a post on Madison's account, falsely claiming that Ryan was an abuser. CW then gets back on her speedboat and takes Ryan's body to the deserted island. When she gets there, however, she finds that Madison has miraculously survived for the past several weeks. Madison then appears and beats CW unconscious. After she wakes up, CW finds that Madison has stolen her speedboat and is making her escape, and she laughs in disbelief.
