Brice Happy is a supporting character in My Bloody Valentine.
Biography[]
In 1960, Happy was tasked to rescue five miners trapped underground. He is the first person to locate the trapped miners, only the find that only one miner survived, and has been eating the dead miners.
Happy lives in Valentine Bluffs, Nova Scotia. He is the bartender at The Cage bar (much less kinky than it sounds) and serves as a doomsayer, much like Crazy Ralph, but is more settled on warning the kids on having a Valentine's Day dance by telling the story of Harry Warden.
However, the kids repeatedly make fun of Happy and the legend and don't listen to him. After Mabel's death and being blown off by the kids again, Happy, in a drunken stupor, sets up a prank at the Hanniger mine to get back at the kids by scaring them with a dummy in mining gear.
Death[]

Axel killing Happy.
After checking to see if the prank works 3 times, Happy goes back for a 4th checkup, only to be attacked by the miner, who impales his pickaxe through Happy's neck and out his eye before using the pickaxe to drag his body away. His body is seen again when Sylvia is trapped in the gear room and it drops down on a hook in front of her.
(Like most of the deaths in the film, Happy's death was heavily censored by the MPAA until a special edition was released in 2009 by Lionsgate when they got the rights in order to make the remake.)

Happy's death in HD.
(UPDATE: Luckily, the Scream Factory Blu-ray of MBV that was released in 2020 just so happens to have Happy's death remastered in its uncut, full-HD glory.)

Happy dropping dead.

James gave this death "The Golden Chainsaw" award because it made him actually scream aloud.
