Biography[]
Monty, an employee at All-Mart, is attacked by a parasitic creature while he gets ready for the store's Black Friday sale. Changing into a monster, Monty assaults two of his coworkers.
Ken Bates delivers Lyla and Gracie to their mother and her new spouse Grant for supper because he has to work on Thanksgiving. Ken then drives to their late shift at We Love Toys where he picks up his nebbish coworker Chris Godecki. Ken and Chris labor alongside colleagues Marnie, Brian, Archie, Ruth, Emmett, Anita, and Bircher to prepare the store for Black Friday while nervous customers gather outside. Bircher is enjoying a cigarette when he unintentionally locks himself outside the building. A frenzied shopper who is infected with a parasite attacks Bircher, turning him into a beast as a result. Later on the movie, we see his infected form.
Jonathan Wexler, the store's manager, instructs his staff to open the doors. Shoppers flood the area, but as the parasite mutation spreads, they start to act violently. As the shoppers are attacked and forced to defend themselves, everyone ultimately understands that the shoppers are mutating into homicidal beasts. Emmett, who is infected with a parasite, releases a tentacle that murders Anita. Emmett transforms into a creature and runs away toward the Santa's Village display in the store.
Archie guides Chris and Brian through a mob of mutants to seal an escape door before more consumers enter, while Ruth hides out in the office. The beast in the bathroom is fought by Jonathan and Ken. When Marnie enters Santa's Village undercover, she discovers that transformed shoppers are merging into a burgeoning sac. Jonathan, Ken, Chris, Marnie, Brian, Archie, and Ruth assemble on the store floor after the exit door has been shut. A fast police car driven by a paranoid cop smashes through the front glass. Ruth is crushed by the automobile. Once more, mutating shoppers flood the store. Archie gets killed by one of the monsters after he saves Chris from them.
In the warehouse, Ken, Marnie, Chris, Brian, and Jonathan fortify a defense. The coworkers connect over sliced turkey meat as they discuss their diverse employment histories at the company. But as Ken and Chris debate over their depressing places in life and Marnie criticizes Ken for not being in a true relationship with her, the group discussion turns combative. The storehouse is breached by a mutant. In the hubbub, Ken gets bitten. Ken stays behind, assuming he has been infected and will soon change, while Chris, Marnie, Jonathan, and Brian walk to the loading dock to get a truck for the escape. Chris is unable to start the truck, so he and the others must first put up a battle with another mutant before climbing to the roof. As the main sac keeps expanding into a huge monster that soon fills the entire store, the building starts to burn. For Chris, Marnie, and Brian to be able to descend back to the ground, Jonathan offers himself as a sacrifice to a horde.

Ken was bit during the previous commotion, and Brian admits it, therefore Ken is not genuinely afflicted. The enormous monster breaches the store's roof after absorbing all of the mutant customers. When Brian tries to fight the thing, it kills him. James gave him the Dull Machete because his actions were unmotivated, and his kill was just a bloodless flick
