Brain Gremlin is the main antagonist in Gremlins 2: The New Batch.
Biography[]
The movie debuts at an unspecified time in December, just before Christmas. After the passing of his owner Mr. Wing, the mogwai Gizmo is used as a test subject by researchers at a lab in the Clamp Center, a cutting-edge highrise in Manhattan owned by eccentric millionaire Daniel Clamp. When Gizmo finds himself at the mercy of the facility's chief researcher Dr. Catheter, Billy Peltzer and his fiance Kate, who both work elsewhere in the structure, come to his rescue. Clamp befriends Billy after being amazed by his prowess in concept design, piqueing Marla Bloodstone's curiosity. Gizmo is left alone in the workplace, where four new mogwai, including Mohawk, a reincarnation of Stripe, are created when water from a malfunctioning drinking fountain drips on his head. They lock Gizmo in the air vents, then after midnight they eat at the building's food court, turning into gremlins.
Gizmo is captured and tortured by Mohawk when he climbs out of the vent. The other gremlins cause the building to become chaotic by activating the fire sprinklers and spawning an army of gremlins. After Billy briefs Clamp on gremlin information, Clamp leaves through a hidden tunnel to cover the building's front in a huge sheet in an effort to fool the gremlins into going inside the lobby, where sunlight will kill them. The gremlins in the lab consume genetic serums, turning one into the brainy Brain Gremlin, another into a woman, and a third into an electricity-based entity that kills Dr. Catheter before Billy captures it in the building's phone system. Along the way, Mr. Katsuji, a Japanese visitor, helps television host "Grandpa Fred" record the mayhem on camera.
A bat-gremlin hybrid that the Brain Gremlin had treated with "genetic sunblock" is attacking Murray Futterman, Billy's neighbor from Kingston Falls who is in New York City with his wife Sheila. After repelling it, Murray comes to the realization that he is not mad and that he must assist; when Clamp takes his escape path to leave the building, Murray utilizes it to sneak inside to help Billy. Forster, the head of security, teams up with Billy, but the seduced female gremlin chases Forster away. Mohawk consumes a spider serum, which causes him to mutate into a terrifying gremlin-spider hybrid. Gizmo defends them by killing Mohawk with a white-out igniter after he attacks Kate and Marla.

When rain clouds cover the sun, Billy's attempt to exterminate the gremlins by filling the lobby with sunshine fails. Instead, he tells Murray to use a fire hose to spray the gremlins before letting the electric gremlin out of the phone and electrocuting and melting the entire group. James gave him the Golden Chainsaw including Electric Gremlin, Daffy, George, Lenny, and 441 Other Gremlins because it's a meltdown.
