Bobby Dagen is a character from the Saw franchise and the main protagonist of Saw 3D. He is played by actor/martial artist: Sean Patrick Flanery.
Biography[]
Bobby is a self-help guru who falsely claims to have survived a Jigsaw trap involving having to lift himself up to a platform by his pectoral muscles attached to hooks for publicity and fame. Due to his lies, he is placed in a trap by Mark Hoffman where he must save three people who helped him out with his deception: Nina (his publicist), Suzanne (his lawyer) and Cale (his best friend). Bobby fails to save all three before finally reaching his wife Joyce Dagen who is chained by her neck to a platform but she was not aware of his deception. To save her, Bobby is forced to undergo the very same trap he claimed to have beaten, he insert the hooks to his chest muscles, and with the chains, in order to hoist himself and connect two extension cords together in order to shut off the electrified fence surrounding Joyce. As he hoisted himself up, Joyce frantically encouraged him and told him to hurry. Bobby pulled himself up further and further and, thereby, finally reached the cords. However, just as he grabbed them and tried to connect them, his muscles could no longer support his weight, causing him to fall down several feet to the floor. With no time left to try again, Bobby watches helplessly as the platform lowers and Joyce is encased inside of a brazen bull, burned alive in front of him and this is the last time we see of him and his fate is unknown. He is presumably dead because he failed the game.
