Billy Nolan is a major antagonist in Carrie (2013). He is played by Alex Russell.
Biography[]
Much like his counterparts in the 1976 film and the 2002 TV movie, Billy Nolan is the boyfriend of popular mean girl Chris Hargensen. In this remake specifically, however, Billy is by far the most aggressive of his counterparts, even being shown threatening Chris in a deleted scene. Nevertheless, he is shown making out with Chris soon after, as she and her friends upload a video they recorded of Carrie being harassed onto YouTube.
Once again, Billy and Chris get the idea to prank Carrie at the prom, and thus drive out to a pig farm with Billy's friend Jackie Talbot to obtain a sample of pig's blood. Jackie is unwilling to kill the pig, however, and so Billy takes over for him, and beats it to death with a sledgehammer. They then take the pig's blood and set it up in a bucket located in the rafters above the gym stage, and, come time of the prom, after getting Carrie and Tommy Ross on stage, they both pull on a rope attached to the bucket, sending the blood all over Carrie.

As with the other adaptations, Chris and Billy quickly flee the gym following the prank, inadvertedly releasing the rope attached to the bucket, which falls down and hits Tommy on the head with enough force to kill him. Carrie is left heartbroken and enraged, and uses her telekinesis to slaughter various students within the gym to get revenge. Having witnessed the carnage from outside, Chris and Billy both drive off in a hurry, planning on leaving town and never returning, but are stopped by Carrie, who uses her powers to cause the road to crack open in front of them. Billy and Chris then turn back around and try to run Carrie down, but Carrie once again uses her powers to violently stop the car in its tracks, which causes Billy's head to slam into the steering wheel, killing him.
