Artie is a supporting antagonist in Sleepaway Camp. He was the head chef in Camp Arawak.
Biography[]
When new students were entering Camp Arawak, Artie, along with Ben and a few other chefs, watch them as Artie makes lewd remarks about them, making it clear that he is a pedophile. When Ronnie Angelo brought newcomer Angela to the kitchen for something to eat, Artie brought her in the back room and started unbuckling his pants, obviously preparing to rape the teenage girl.
However, he heard the door open and quickly redid his belt. Angela's cousin Ricky Thomas caught him red-handed and intervened. Artie became angered and threatened Ricky not to tell anybody.
Death[]
Soon afterwards, Angela got her revenge by pulling a chair out from under him while he was boiling water, causing the boiling saltwater to cover him with severe burns. Ben found him screaming from his burn wounds, and the paramedics soon arrived to take him away. The doctors who arrived told camp owner Mel Kostic that Artie would be in severe pain for quite some time. It is unclear whether or not Artie survived.
