Annie is the secondary antagonist of the segment "Suicide Bid" in V/H/S/99.
Biography[]
Annie was the leader of a group of sorority girls from Beta Sigma Eta, the most prestigious sorority on their college campus. She was friends with Lucy, Imogene, Hannah and Lindsay. After Lily decided to make a suicide bid when applying to their sorority, Annie and the rest of the girls decided to invite her out to town to party and get drunk. Upon returning to the college, the girls tell Lily that they enjoyed the video message she sent them requesting that she join the sorority, and claim they were "flattered" by her doing a suicide bid. They then tell Lily a supposed urban legend about a girl named Giltine, whom, 20 years ago, was dared to spend one night buried alive in a coffin as part of a hazing ritual from their very own sorority, only for her sorority sisters to forget about her and leave her buried for a week. By time the coffin was dug back out of the ground, however, Giltine was nowhere to be found. The girls claim that Giltine perhaps crawled into the underworld, and has been looking for friends to take into the underworld with her to this day.
After getting Lily to drink more alcohol and gifting her a shirt with the sorority's logo on it, Annie and the other sisters reveal that in order to officially join the sorority, Lily must spend the night burried alive in a coffin just like Giltine. They take Lily out to a graveyard, where a grave with an empty wooden coffin waiting for her, but Lily is hesitant to go through with the hazing. The other girls tell her not to worry, saying that they all went through this exact ritual and telling her that the coffin has plenty of air inside it. They also inform her that the coffin has a cord inside it attached to a bell on the surface that she can ring just in case, but tell her that if she rings it, she will have forfeited her chance to join the sorority. Before entering the coffin, Lucy gives Lily a camera so she can film herself, and Imogene gives Lily a small box, claiming that it will help her when she is at her most fearful state.
After entering the coffin and being buried, Lily, trying not to panic, talks to the camera, leaving a video message for both Helen and the BSE girls. Meanwhile, the BSE girls begin tapping and scratching on the surface of the coffin with shovels in order to scare Lily into opening the box, which is revealed to be full of spiders. Panicking, she pulls on the cord, but the girls ignore the bell and laugh at her as a rainstorm breaks out. Suddenly, a police car arrives, and the girls, worried about being expelled, run away, planning to come back for Lily later.
The next morning, the girls return to find Lily's grave completely flooded with rainwater, much to their horror. Imogene decides to dive into the water to look for Lily anyway, only to discover that the coffin is empty. After checking the coffin herself, Annie makes the rest of the girls agree to keep the incident to themselves and never speak of it again.
Death[]

Annie in her coffin.
Six days later, Annie, Lucy, Imogene and Hannah awaken late at night to find themselves buried side-by-side in their own coffins. Suddenly, a ghoulish Lily appears in Annie's coffin, and tells her that she made a deal with Giltine to have the four of them sacrificed to Giltine in exchange for Lily being "let go". Giltine then appears next to Annie, horrifying her. Annie and the other girls are presumably killed, either by Lily and Giltine directly or from suffocating in their coffins.
