Amanda Shepard was a supporting protagonist in Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood.

Biography[]

Amanda's late husband, John Shepard came home drunk one night and abused her. This caused their young daughter, Tina Shepard, to leave the house and head towards a nearby docks. She jumps onto a boat as John chases after and tries to apologize to her. Tina ignores him and wishes that he was dead. Soon after that, the dock John is standing on collapses due to her psychic powers. John falls into the lakes and drowns shortly after.

A now 17 year old Tina goes on a trip to Camp Crystal Lake alongside Amanda and her psychiatrist, Dr. Christopher Crews. Crews believes that this trip will help Tina get over her grief for accidentally killing her father. Later Crews tests Tina if she can move objects, to which she can. Amanda comes back to see an upset Tina storming off to the docks. She wishes to bring her father back to life and accidentally awakes Jason Voorhees. She faints as soon as Jason pops out of the water. Amanda and Crews find the passed out Tina and bring her back inside where she describes Jason to the two adults.

Tina went to a party with neighbor Nick Rogers. But after an incident, Tina runs back to Amanda and begs her to cut the trip short and to leave the place. Amanda tells Crews to cut it short but he threatens to put Tina back into the mental institution. Later while Crews is out, Amanda goes through his files and finds out he is exploiting Tina for her psychic powers. Amadna and Crews get into a confrontation which is overheard by Tina and causes her to drive off. While driving, she sees a vision of Jason impaling her mother.

Death[]

Amanda and Crews go looking for Tina and discover her car crashed next to the woods. Amanda and Crews enter the woods where they come face-to-face with Jason Voorhees. The two of them run away as Jason slowly chases them. Crews grabs Amanda and holds her place as Jason is right behind them. Crews holds Amanda just long enough so that he can use her as a human shield. Amanda is ultimately impaled with a tree trimmer by Jason. Her body is later found by Tina.
