Adrian Jack Griffin is the main antagonist in The 2020 remake of The Invisible Man.
Biography[]
Adrian worked as a businessman and an engineer and was the brother of Tom and the boyfriend of Cecilia, who he had been violently abusing and controlling her. He is then drugged by Cecilia and she escape his well high security home with the help of her sister, Emily and she hides out with the help of her friend, Detective James Lanier, and his teenage daughter, Sydney. Two weeks after his girlfriend's escape, Adrian pretends to commits suicide and leaves her $5 million in his trust and has Tom, a lawyer, to handle the arrangements.
As Tom has been seeing Cecilia and James, Adrian has created a few optical bodysuits to have Tom stalk Cecilia.
After Cecilia and Emily go to a restaurant when Cecilia had suspicion of him being alive and faking his death, Adrian takes the bodysuit from Tom and slits Emily's throat and places the knife he used in Cecilia's hand, shocking and horrifying the people around and Adrian framing his ex-girlfriend for the murder of his sister.
While awaiting the trial of the murder of Emily, Cecilia is remanded to a mental hospital, where she learns she is pregnant with a baby. Tom offers to get her charges dropped if she agrees to "return to Adrian" and raise the child, revealing that Tom helped stage his brother's fake suicide and Adrian tampered with her birth control to impregnate her, however, Cecilia refuses the offer and steals a pen from his briefcase. That night, she attempts to commit suicide with the pen, but Adrian tries to stop her, when in return, she stabs him repeatedly with the pen, causing the suit to malfunction. The security team arrives, but Adrian incapacitates them, killing a few, and flees the hospital, with Cecilia in pursuit. To protect her unborn child, Adrian instead threatens to attack those she loves.
Later, Adrian swaps the suit out with Tom and Tom goes to the Lanier Home where Cecilia races to there and finds the figure attacking him and Sydney. She shoots the figure to death, but when unmasked, she finds Tom in the suit. Police storm Adrian's house and find him alive, tied up and claiming Tom held him prisoner. Cecilia insists the brothers shared the suit, with Adrian sending Tom to the house knowing he would be killed.
Death[]

Adrian getting his throat slit

Adrian bleeding out
To get Adrian's confession, she meets him at his house while James listens on a wire. She agrees to mend their relationship, but only if he confesses to being the figure. Adrian insists that Tom did kidnap him and claims the experience changed his outlook on life and how he treated her. When she cries, Adrian alludes to his abuse, using similar phrasing to that of the figure. Satisfied, Cecilia departs to use the restroom. Moments later, the security camera captures Adrian seemingly slitting his own throat. Cecilia returns and, apparently distraught, calls the police. Out of the camera's sight however, she taunts Adrian during his final living moments, having retrieved the spare suit she had hidden in the house and slit his throat to make it look like a suicide the same way he did to Emily to frame Cecilia, as Adrian dies from his throat wound.

James gave his death the Golden Chainsaw award because of how bloody and satisfying it was to see Adrian get what he deserved.
